Nicole Makula, DNP, ARNP, CPNP-AC

Nicole Makula, DNP, ARNP, CPNP-AC,  is a board-certified pediatric nurse practitioner specializing in acute care with her Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Washington. Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, she was a bachelor's prepared nurse with 15 years of experience as a pediatric nurse at Mary Bridge Children's Hospital caring for children from birth to young adulthood in various hospital settings including the emergency department and intensive care unit.  Outside of work, Nicole enjoys going on adventures and making memories with her kids and husband, swimming, enjoying music, and traveling all over the Pacific Northwest for her children's hockey tournaments and swim meets.

 My approach to caring for the children in our community is rooted in patient and family-centered care. I prioritize building trusting relationships through compassionate and effective communication, skills I have refined through my medical simulation and debrief experience, as well as my Palliative Care training.
