Melanie A. Summerour, MSN, ARNP

Melanie Summerour, MSN, ARNP, is a board-certified pediatric nurse practitioner who provides well child and preventive care for children. In addition to general pediatrics, her clinical interests are in healthy lifestyles, and newborn and adolescent health. She treats all pediatric primary care conditions, from minor injuries and asthma, to anemia, depression and attention deficit disorders.

In her free time, Melanie enjoys reading, kayaking, painting, cooking, hiking, music, travel and volunteering with her children, family and friends.

Practice Philosophy: I have always loved kids, and am so glad that my job enables me to work with children every day. My aim is to empower my young patients by taking the time to listen to them and providing them with compassionate care. After more than 20 years of practice, I continue to enjoy being a part of my patients' as well as their families' lives. I welcome patients of any gender identity or sexual orientation, and families of all ethnic and cultural backgrounds.
