Pediatric research and clinical trials
MultiCare Institute for Research & Innovation
MultiCare has been involved with pediatric clinical research studies for nearly four decades. Our investigators initially focused on cancer care, but over time, the research program expanded into a diverse group of diseases and medical conditions. The MultiCare Institute for Research & Innovation, formed in 2010, houses all our research efforts in a single program.
The Research Institute works with MultiCare and Mary Bridge Children’s-employed physicians, as well as community physicians, on studies led by federal agencies, industry groups, independent researchers and organizations, such as the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance. Through groundbreaking research, these professionals provide patients access to cutting-edge treatments that would not otherwise be available. We want community members to seek out Mary Bridge Children’s facilities and providers because of our research expertise and access to studies. Our goal is to find new, better treatments and treatment methods and ways that we can improve the care we provide.
Pediatric Research
In partnership with Mary Bridge Children’s, the Research Institute gives children in our community access to the latest treatment options available for chronic, rare and life-threatening conditions. We strive to provide cutting-edge research studies that meet the needs of children and their families in the communities we serve.
Our research serves the smallest patients in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit through the teen and young adult population with the goal of improving the health of our children through evidence-based learning.
