Mary Bridge Children’s demo complete

MultiCare Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital employees gathered last week to “celebrate dirt” on a freshly turned patch next to the former site of Jackson Hall.

The initial demolition phase of construction is nearing completion, putting us that much closer to our world-class ambulatory clinic and hospital tower designed for kids.

Leaders from MultiCare and Mary Bridge Children’s, along with Olaf the facility dog, welcomed staff who stopped by to see progress on the construction zone.

“Today we’re celebrating our investment in state-of-the art pediatric facilities that will allow us to continue setting the bar as one of the nation’s safest places for kids,” says Jeff Poltawsky, president and market leader of Mary Bridge Children’s. “Our new ambulatory center and hospital tower will greatly improve accessible, dedicated care for youth across our growing region.”

Staff who gathered posed at the photo booth in matching purple Mary Bridge Children’s construction hats. They took bricks from Jackson Hall and memento jars of purple sand as a reminder of Mary Bridge Hospital’s humble origins, as well as its improved capabilities to come.
