Dr. Asante approaches his clinical practice from the backgrounds of community health and implementation science. He is passionate about his work as a child health advocate, particularly as it pertains to expanding access to comprehensive healthcare for underserved youth and adolescents. He is committed to creating clinical spaces where providers can form impactful relationships with families that improve health and well-being, both inside and outside of the doctor’s office.
Away from work, Dr. Asante’s second first passion is music. He has been singing in various music groups since seven years old, and continues to find time for this activity. He also enjoys traveling, spending quality time with family and friends all over the world. Over the last seven years, he has enjoyed the relaxing and challenging practice of yoga. But he couldn’t forget to mention that food, particularly brunch, is an Olympic sport in his household; they love trying new places. Finally, Dr. Asante relishes staying up to date on adolescent "research" in the form of a wide range of TV shows/movies.
