Immunization Clinic

Whether you have a new baby, a child returning to the classroom this fall, or learning remotely, make sure vaccination is at the top of your checklist. One of the best ways to help keep your child safe and healthy is by giving them all recommended vaccinations. All vaccines are free to patients up to age 19 in the state of Washington.

The Mary Bridge Children’s Immunization Clinic serves children and their families in Pierce County by providing:

• Access to free vaccines to children under 19. We partner with the Tacoma Pierce County Health Department to offer comprehensive immunization services.
• A trusted source of information about vaccines & vaccine safety.
• Up-to-date advice about your child’s vaccination schedule from birth through age 18. We follow the evidence-based guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC).

Recommended childhood vaccines

Vaccination helps provide immunity before children are exposed to potentially life-threatening diseases. You have the power to protect yourself and your family against serious diseases like whooping cough, chickenpox, measles, and cancers caused by HPV through on-time vaccination.

Some of the vaccines that are especially recommended for children include:

• MMR vaccine to defend against measles, mumps, and rubella
• DTaP/Tdap vaccine to prevent whooping cough, diphtheria, and tetanus
• Varicella vaccine to prevent chickenpox
• Rotavirus oral vaccine to prevent severe diarrhea among young children Meningococcal Vaccine to prevent meningitis among patients who attend colleges that require it
• Influenza (flu) vaccine to reduce risk of flu illness complications and hospitalization
• COVID-19 vaccine to reduce risk and spreading of Coronavirus illness

Appointments

Many children receive required vaccinations at routine office visits with their pediatricians or primary care providers. If you are unable to see your own provider or don’t have one currently, please call the Mary Bridge Children’s Immunization Clinic in Tacoma at 253-403-1767 to make an appointment.

Our Immunization Clinic is open weekdays and occasional Saturdays to provide free vaccines recommended by the CDC to children 18 years of age and younger.

Adult immunization: Immunizations for adults ages 19 and over are available by appointment through MultiCare East Pierce Family Medicine. To schedule an appointment, call 253-697-1420.
