Treatment Options

Pediatric cancer and hematology services

Mary Bridge Children’s offers comprehensive diagnostic testing and a full range of treatment options, including access to clinical trials, for many childhood cancers and blood disorders. We also provide supportive care every step of the way so you and your child don’t have to face treatment alone.

Diagnostic tests and imaging

An accurate diagnosis is the first step to getting your child healthy again. We offer a variety of tests and procedures depending on your child’s situation, including blood tests, biopsies, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and more. Our child life and sedation services specialists focus on keeping your child comfortable, providing anesthesia as needed.

Chemotherapy

We prescribe chemotherapy medications, drugs that fight cancer, based on your child’s unique needs and tumor type. Chemotherapy comes in different forms — some may be taken orally while others are administered through an IV.

Radiation therapy

This form of treatment uses high-energy beams to kill cancer cells. Our pediatric specialists use the most advanced radiation technology currently available, ensuring high-accuracy treatment that minimizes the effect of radiation on your child’s growing body.
