At Mary Bridge Children’s Rheumatology, our team of specialists work to provide your child with the earliest possible diagnosis so we can create the best care plan for your child’s needs. Rheumatic diseases may cause pain, stiffness and swelling in your child’s joints as well as in muscles, tendons, ligaments and bones. Rheumatic diseases can also affect other areas of the body, including internal organs. Many rheumatic diseases are caused by autoimmune disorders — diseases where the body’s immune system attacks its own healthy cells and tissues and causes excessive inflammation.

Since a referral from your child’s pediatrician is required to see a rheumatologist, we will work closely with the referring provider to ensure seamless, coordinated care. If additional specialty care is needed, we offer easy access to specialists and resources within Mary Bridge Children’s.
