Why choose Mary Bridge Children’s for plastic and reconstructive surgery?

At Mary Bridge Children’s Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, we care for children with conditions that may be present at birth, problems that occur following illness or injury, and others, such as scars, that may occur later in life.

Because these conditions often affect how a child looks and how their body works, our multidisciplinary team will develop an individualized treatment plan based on your child’s unique needs.

You can expect compassionate, expert care from a team that understands the complexities of performing surgery on growing children. Using advanced techniques, our surgeons take the utmost care in restoring your child’s physical appearance and improving their health and well-being.

Cleft palate repair surgery information

Due to unforeseen circumstances, at this time, we are not offering cleft palate repair surgery through MultiCare Mary Bridge Children’s pediatric plastic surgery clinic. Our office is working with any impacted families to reschedule procedures currently planned.

Although this procedure will not be provided by Mary Bridge Children’s surgeons, other surgeons in our region do perform this surgery at our hospital and will continue to do so. For cleft lip and cleft palate patients, the Maxillofacial Review Board coordinates treatment for children up to age 21. Referring providers who need to direct their patient families to a new surgeon in our community may contact the Southwest Washington Maxillofacial Review Board’s case manager by email or phone 253-403-1559.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause our patient families and referring colleagues. We hope to resume offering this service in the future. Thank you for understanding, and we wish you good health.
