Dr. Ronald T. Grondin is board-certified by the American Board of Pediatric Neurosurgery and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada (FRCSC). He obtained his bachelor's degree at the University of Waterloo, in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada, followed by his master's degree at the University of Toronto and the Hospital for Sick Children, in Toronto, Canada. He obtained his medical degree at Queen's University School of Medicine, in Kingston, Ontario,
Canada. Dr. Grondin completed his neurosurgery residency at the University of Calgary and completed a pediatric neurosurgery fellowship at Boston Children’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School in 2008. He practiced as a pediatric neurosurgeon and epilepsy surgeon at Nationwide Children's Hospital and The Ohio State University where he held the rank of Assistant Professor and was the co-founder and co-director of the Epilepsy Surgery
Program. He has performed more than 200 surgical procedures for the treatment of patients with intractable epilepsy.Dr. Grondin provides a full spectrum of pediatric and adolescent neurosurgical care and specializes in the surgical treatment of epilepsy and tumors near eloquent cortex in children and adults. His areas of expertise also include the management of pediatric neurovascular disease and the use of advanced intracranial endoscopy for minimally invasive management of skull base tumors, craniosynostosis and complex hydrocephalus.
