Care and support for developmental and behavioral differences

Developmental pediatricians are highly trained and experienced in identifying a range of developmental and behavioral differences. They can evaluate your child’s overall development, provide a diagnosis and recommend specific treatment plans.

Developmental pediatricians also can coordinate medical evaluations or prescribe medications when appropriate. They often act as an advocate during school planning, providing documentation and support to make sure your child receives needed services.

How we help

Our Developmental Behavioral Pediatrics team of experts include board-certified doctors, advanced registered nurse practitioners, registered nurses, psychologists, social workers and a nurse navigator.

We work with children from birth through 18 years of age with suspected intellectual disabilities, developmental delays, suspected autism spectrum disorder and complex attention deficit hyperactivity disorder.

Our neurodevelopmental program provides evaluations for very young children (birth to 3) for children from birth through 3 years of age with developmental delay or concerns about developmental delays

Our medical team also provides medical consultations to other providers, recommends follow-up care and coordinates appropriate resources for patients and their families.

Conditions commonly seen in our clinic include:

  • Complex attention deficit hyperactivity disorder
  • Autism spectrum disorders
  • Developmental delay
  • Down Syndrome
  • Medical disorders affecting the child’s development
  • Behavior concerns related to the above diagnoses

Referral process

A referral from your child’s primary care provider is required to make an appointment. Once we receive a referral, our team will complete a review to determine the appropriate next steps and resources for your child.

Additionally, we have expanded access to virtual care offerings. Call or inquire during an appointment if a virtual care appointment may be appropriate for your child.
